The fastest four in the world
Team Denmark blaze to world record on the Speedmax CFR Track.
Four riders. A standing start. Four kilometres. Team Pursuit is cycling’s purest expression of speed.
Before the European Track World Championships in Türkiye, no team had ever broken the 3:40 barrier, until Lasse Norman Leth, Frederik Rodenberg Madsen, Rasmus Lund Pedersen and Tobias Aagaard Hansen took to the boards.
Their ride bettered the previous men's record set by Australia at the Paris Olympics by 0.75 seconds, a massive margin in a discipline where victory is measured in miliseconds.
Practice. Faith. Executing a plan rehearsed a thousand times. When averaging close to 65 km/h having started at zero, trust matters most.
The biggest feeling is trust: trust in the process, in the equipment, and in the three riders next to you.Rasmus Lund Pedersen
The Speedmax CFR Track is engineered for precisely this moment: maximum aerodynamic efficiency at world-record speeds.
4000 metres covered in a shade under 160 seconds. Team Denmark and the Speedmax CFR Track have set the benchmark for the rest of the world to beat.
