Meet the Wildcards

13 riders. Five nationalities.

Different backgrounds, disciplines, surfaces, and definitions of performance.

The Wildcards come together as a team to share experience and knowledge across terrains and racing backgrounds, shaping a new blueprint for modern performance.

Race everything.

Jasper Ockeloen (Netherlands)

Experience, tactics, technical ability, and a willingness to race beyond the script, Jasper is our forward-thinking all-terrain master. We call him ‘Goldie’, for his distinctive chains.

“I like it when things get unexpected…”

Carolin Schiff (Germany)

An Unbound Gravel winner (2024) and former long-time road pro, Caro brings experience, calm authority, and relentless determination to the Wildcards.

“Mentally, I never give up. But sometimes I put too much pressure on myself.”

Mathijs Loman (Netherlands)

A former Canyon factory worker turned rising gravel star, the young Dutchman was last year’s UCI World Series winner and comes into 2026 with even greater belief in himself.

“If it’s a hard, tiring race, I will surface at the end.”

Jordan Schleck (Uganda)

Racing with purpose, Jordan is an African cycling pioneer opening doors and pulling others through them. Born in Uganda. Based in Kenya. Racing everywhere.

“We race. Anything with two wheels, we race.”

Marei Moldenhauer (Germany)

The winner of last year’s ultra-endurance Atlas Mountain Race, Marei is balancing her racing ambition with work as a doctor, and training to be a surgeon. Not competitive (according to her), but fiercely determined.

“My life is a big Tetris. I squeeze everything in and sometimes I don’t know how I can do all these things.”

Luca Dreßler (Germany)

24-year-old Luca is a gravel newbie on a journey of discovery. A sports scientist who coaches young riders, the young German has a strong mindset and knows what he wants.

“Gravel races aren’t over until the finish line. I keep believing all the way.”

Frederik Rasmann (Germany)

Fast-finishing Fred ‘won’ Traka 200 in 2024 – before being controversially disqualified. He joins the Wildcards as our sprinting ace in the pack.

“My goal is to be in the mix to win almost every race.”

Jade Treffeisen (Germany)

Analytical, technical, and adaptable, Jade is the ultimate ‘good vibes’ team player. This year, she’s going long, with a focus on the longer gravel races.

“I have to be a bigger a**hole. Everyone tells me I’m too nice.”

Bradyn Lange (USA)

A technically gifted mountain bike/gravel hybrid focusing on Lifetime Grand Prix and marathon MTB. Keep an eye on Bradyn – he makes things exciting.

“What we’re doing [with ATR] keeps it fresh. I’m always switching bikes and preparing for something different. That’s when I enjoy racing the most.”

Nele Laing (Germany)

A former handball player turned endurance racer, Nele is still early in her gravel days but thrives when races go long and uphill.

“I struggle with insecurity sometimes, but the longer the race goes, the more confident I become.”

Juri Hollmann (Germany)

Following a horror crash at the Giro d’Italia last year, former WorldTour road rider Juri is facing the biggest challenge of his life: a return to racing at the highest level.

“The doctors said it was 50/50 whether I could make it back. I thought: if it’s 50%, I don’t want to stop without trying.”

Alex McCormack (Great Britain)

An ultra-endurance star more at home where comfort runs out and distance takes over, Alex represents a new form of pro cyclist. The Brit has the ambition, and we’re excited to see how far (and fast) he can go.

“Ultra-endurance racing is not just about numbers. There are so many skills you need: mechanics, bike setup, line choice, what to eat, what to wear, what to pack, travel logistics.”

Larissa Hartog (Netherlands)

A cyclocross racer discovering her strengths over longer distances off-road, Larissa finished 9th (and first non-pro) in her first gravel world championships last year. One to watch.

“This is my opportunity. I have to take it.”
