On its very first day of competition, Sam Laidlow rode the new Speedmax CFR straight into the history books. He shattered the world record with a lightning-fast time of 07:21:04.

Aeroshield pairs custom ergonomics with pro-level aerodynamics to bring closed cockpit performance to all athletes. Size-specific armrests distribute pressure evenly and improve control while enabling a narrower, faster position. Millimetre-precise adjustments to stack, reach, and extension angle ensure optimal fit and performance, tailored to you.

AeroFuel: More fuel. Less drag.

Triathlon is a fuelling game, and racing with your personal nutrition beats relying on aid stations. Modular hydration and nutrition storage on Speedmax CFR lets you carry more fuel with full independence while staying competition-legal. The integrated design optimizes airflow for more fuel, less drag, and cleaner, simpler storage.

AeroFit: Precision meets simplicity

Your body accounts for over 70% of system drag, so your position is key. The Speedmax is the most intuitive, adaptable bike triathlon has ever seen. An industry-leading fit range supports even the most extreme positions, while our Perfect Position System (PPS) takes your biometrics or fit data to deliver a pre-configured bike you can fine-tune at home.

AeroBase: The fastest frameset

The Speedmax CFR builds on the benchmark-setting aerodynamics of its predecessor, fused with a revised, modern geometry for increased stability and control. We’ve also simplified access to frame hydration as well as the emergency repair kit, and made Speedmax CFR totally future-proof with UDH, clearance for up to 30 mm tyres and oversize aero chainrings.

CFR-grade carbon: Lightweight innovation

Our most complete Speedmax CFR ever is also our lightest. By refining all key components and applying the most advanced CFR-grade carbon fibres, the new Speedmax CFR frameset, including the cockpit, shaves over 500 g off its predecessor. Not only the fastest setup in transition, Speedmax CFR is also comfortably the lightest. Lightweight or aero? Have both.

The beauty of Speedmax CFR lies in how simple it is to work on. You do not have to be a pro mechanic to dial it in to perfection. Across the bike, corrosion-resistant Torx 25 screws are consistently applied for secure engagement, and each bike ships with a premium torque wrench for total confidence in your setup.

Bike classification

Bikes of this category are designed for riding on hard-surface roads where the wheels remain in permanent contact to the ground. These are in general road racing bicycles with racing handlebars or straight handlebars, triathlon or time trial bicycles. The permissible maximum overall weight comprising rider, luggage and bicycle should not exceed 120 kg. Under certain circumstances this permissible maximum weight can be further limited by the component manufacturers’ recommendations for use. Proven cyclocross and gravel bikes with racing handlebars and cantilever or disc brakes are a special case in this category. In addition, these bikes are also suitable for gravel paths and off-road trails where a short loss of tyre contact with the ground due to small stairs or steps at a height of 15 to 20 cm can occur.
