Made for metal

Spectral AL is no carbon copy of our award winning CF model. Sure it uses the same dialled 140mm rear suspension kinematic and geometry, but every alloy tube and forged part is uniquely engineered to max out the metal performance gains. Designed for the perfect balance of confidence and traction, it delivers just the right blend of stiffness and compliance across the chassis.

Shaped by the trail

Years of trail development have made this the best shaped Spectral ever. 64 degree head angle for composed, predictable front end handling. 76.6 degree seat angle for nailing every elevator pitch. Grounded for grip, lively for play.

Speed or steeze

Every Spectral AL in S - XL* size comes in either full 29er or 27.5in back wheel format. Go big both ends for the smoothest flow, easiest speed and grip for days. Mix it up for hip flicking, shape shifting, berm blowing, viral gramming steeze. *XS only comes in mixed because a big back wheel doesn't fit the smaller frame or the rider.

Drop low, get loose

Extra seat post drop on every size - up to 230mm on XL - means more room to move and master the terrain. Oversized 34.9mm shaft diameter means a stiffer, stronger post for better reliability and more stable pedalling feel.

Punishment proof

Practical durability details keep Spectral AL on the trail and out of the workshop. Top quality, custom grease bearings stay smooth for years. Replaceable Helicoil inserts guarantee safe servicing. Frame armour and Heli tape add scuff proof, noise cancelling protection. External tool / accessory mount for convenience, chain guide compatible for crazy days.

Bike classification

This category also covers the requirements of categories 1-3. In addition it includes use on very harsh, obstacle-scattered terrain with steep gradients and consequently higher speeds. Regular, moderate jumps pose no problem for experienced riders when using these bikes. Extended and regular use in bike parks and tackling “North Shore” sections should be avoided. Due to increased stresses, these bikes should be checked for damage after every ride. Full suspension bikes with mid-level travel are typical in this category.
